Square-Enix Game Demo later this year… FF13?

CVG has the scope on a rumor thats been floating around the internet today. Basically the word is that the Playstation network is gonna have a nice demo up from the boys at Square come later this year. While the demo network is a new thing to Sony its something that has become almost standard in the Xbox marketplace. A move to push one of their anticipated Playstation 3 titles to a short demo much like Final Fantasy 12 would seem to make sense.

Square Enix has yet to respond to the rumour, which originated in the US mag EGM, which says, “Xbox Live may be the download hotspot this spring (thanks in large part to the Halo 3 multiplayer demo), but late this year the honour will go to the PlayStation Network. We hear that Square Enix will release a demo of its highly anticipated role-playing game via Sony’s online marketplace.”

As usual though Square-Enix is short to comment on such things, but hey there not flat out denying it which means its probably real… cross your finger for one of the Final Fantasy 13 titles :P.
