I smell a recall :). Robert Byers an unsatisfied Xbox 360 customer has recently filed suit against Microsoft for releasing a console too quickly with faulty design features. Bryers argues that there are issues with both the power supply and the CPU that “causes it to overheat and freeze up,” reports of this have been seen all over the web and even this site has reported some of these problems the day after the launch.
Bryers also argues that it was so rushed because it wanted to get ahead of the game and beat out the competitors PS3 and the Revolution(which is well true).
Bryers hopes to sue for the terms of the cost of the suit and is requesting a recall or a replacement of the consoles. Microsoft has not commented on the matter as many do not, but recent lawsuits in the past favor Bryers. Consider the lawsuits against Apple involving both the batteries live as well as the easily scratched Nano Screen.
If you ask me it was only a matter of time, so for those of you that have a faulty console and don’t think that having to ghetto rig it is a very legit way of next-gening than I suggest you try and contact Microsoft or even Bryers to give him support.
As for anyone that hasn’t gotten one… I suggest waiting in all honesty, most new products come out with issues, it’s to be expected, so why spend 400 bucks on something that might not work.
