Halo 3 Walkthrough

RSS Feed for Unlimited Gamer Sony… have you met Sega?

While the wake of E3 2006 has come and gone, it would seem that the support and devotion that many had for Sony so to has floated back into the sea that is the gaming industry. However, can Sony redeem itself at this years Tokyo Game Show? Unless they have some news about cheaper consoles and more exclusive titles I think not.

I said in the past that with Sony’s lack of information and pricing about the console would create a make or break position for them at E3. And in case you haven’t been paying attention, They are being bent over backwards, but their not yet broken. Sony’s support has nearly crumbled at their feet from the fans and the developers. While many consumers and gamers alike find themselves wondering how they are going to throw down 600 dollars on a console, developers to are pondering how they can afford to develop games on the complex system.

While this all seems rather impossible, it would appear that Sony is putting itself in a position for failure, although many would say that Japan will buy the console no matter what… they will. That is beside the point, as we all know from the Xbox 360 launch, winning one demographic isn’t enough. As Microsoft continues to struggle in the Japanese market. While I doubt Sony can truly fall under, it isn’t a possibility I am ruling out. Maybe in September Sony will better explain to gamers why they should dish out the extra cash on there system that seems to be continually losing so-called exclusive titles o_0.
