YES! Eternal Darkness sequel!

Sorry for the emphatic title, but I felt this news story was worthy of some emphasis. Eternal Darkness is getting a sequel, according to 1UP. While the news isn't exactly official becasue it came from the blog of some editor on IGN, I've always felt that 1UP has been a very credible news source.

Anyway, those who played and loved and Eternal Darkness can empathize with me. Those who havn't played it should probably go down to your local gameshop and dig through the bargain bin, it's an old Gamecube title that was originally planned for the N64 but got pushed back and eventually was released early in the Gamecube's life. It's a survival horror game that has the uneasy creepiness that follows you throughout the whole game that Resident Evil titles are known for, combined with some unique and very cool gameplay elements. Very underated title IMO, and very deserving of a sequel. One can only guess what it will be about.
