Day of Defeat Source Landing Soon

While the wait has been long.. (were actually still waiting), the good people at Valve Software have assured us that the mod will be released at some time this month. So that could mean today or it could mean the end of the month, eitherway it's a day many fans have been waiting for for some time. Those of you not familiar with Day of Defeat it was a Half-Life mod set in the WWII time and featured an array of classes you could choose from and involved a sort of capture system. It some aspects I guess you could call it a dulled down Battlefield 2, but in my case I rather DOD, because it's less huge and more fast paced.

The game will be avaliable for Half-Life 2 owners who purchased the silver packaged or for those of you that own the boxed version of Counter-Strike: Source. For those of you like me that don't own either you might have to end up buying the game again, though I really hope that they release it to everyone, as I bought it in the store and really didn't know that I couldn't get the cool mods cause I have the box version.
