Photoshop CS3 is a POS
No one posts in these forums but whatever, I am posting this so google can catch it when ppl search photoshop is foul they will get this...
of late my photoshop basically takes like 10 fucking minutes to prompt the save dialog box, and has nearly froze on my numerous times while saving. AKA when i am done doing a lot of stuff and go to save thats when i have a problem? thats terrible. Not only that but if I save it as psd and then go to save again as say jpg it takes another 10 mins to let me save...
so solution? I got pixelmator which is the simplified version of photoshop that does all the quick edits and what not that i want to do, and is actually fairly powerful and EXTREMELY fast, so yeah if your on a mac check out pixelmator its flipping sweet.

It could be that the file size is huge, it happens to me when I get to like 30 layers and the size of the image being over 10x10in at 300dpi. That could be just me though.

true, however, it should be the actual saving that takes time not the loading of sad saving, that way i can be like ok imma leave the computer alone, but if simply opening the prompt takes that long?
it's just the loading is backasswards if you ask me.

Hmm, that is strange. Maybe they'll fix that in CS4.
