State of Affairs - Aug 03

I made a post the other day addressing the state of Unlimited Gamer, I decided that I really liked the idea of a weekly/bi-weekly update of whats going on with UG.

So yeah this is the beginning to a hopefully long lasting series called state of affairs, it will also help me be more productive and allow you guys to give me some direct feedback.

1. Whats been done on the site regarding function? First we got the comments and the pictures/avatars working in the news comments. I have also removed direct replies to users so that we prevent the floating of comments under the navigations. The forum styling as started but I wasn't really in the mood to mess with it so it's not done yet.
2. I have got a new image module to allow me to post pictures up real nice and this doesn't really do anything for the user's it's just more of me reminding myself I got something to work :).
3. I enabled posting on the forums since I was retarded and had that disabled.
4. Captcha has been enabled as a spam measure and the other module I was using to handle the spam has been disabled because it was giving users error messages because it wasn't functioning correctly.
5. Added a few more sections to deal with some of the recent Square-Enix postings that have been going up.
6. No response on some guide inqueries I am going to send out some emails when I am finished this post and try and get some more content.
7. MSG alerts have been removed from the OLD ug content, this is due to malware that was attached to it and messed up my buddy richards computerzor :(

That's all for today, I am sure I will have a couple more state of affairs in the coming few days just because a lot of stuff is going on with Unlimited Gamer and it's fair that you guys know what's going on ;).
