Well, maybe it’s just me, and it might not be, but with only 9 days left till this so called “Next Gen” system hits shelves I just don’t feel it. Maybe it is because I wasn’t completely aware of the PlayStation back when it came out, but I just figure there be more hype on the 360 then there is. Granted there are commercials and the mountain dew every 10 minute contest.. but despite all of that I really don’t care that the console is coming out. Even as I make this post I needed a TV message to remind me it was coming out, cause well with 9 days left.. is it really going to be next gen? I think you all know my feelings on this matter and well the reason I am not buying it. For those of you that have pre-ordered it hoping for the system of the gods I wish you the best of luck and hope it at least amounts to half of what you expected. However I will not just stand here and belittle it, I admit some titles look good.. but the fact is there are so few of them. Gears of War and Oblivion will easily be 2 of the best looking games to come out in a long time, but the fact is that just isn’t enough to me, and the fact that GOW doesn’t come out till 2006 I just don’t see the reason to spend 400 bucks to play a 30 hour game like Oblivion(aside from the side quest the core is 30 hours).
Anyway that’s just my rant for the day, for those of you that get the consoles drop a line and let us know what you think about it.

Well, America is really, the only place with a big hype about it. Why? People love the Halo, sports, and etc games on the system. the system itself is a dream of a casual gamer. As, most people that arent an hardcore gamer, goes mainly for sport titles and stuff like Splinter Cell, etc. xBox Online is also a big seller in the American eyes.
I understand and will buy a PS3, but I think Sony does need to make a core online service as that seems more convient to alot of gamers that will ever think of getting a online game or using its online function. If individuals host the servers, then they can charge all they wish, where as it is one price for XBox online, thus no real money management for alot of seperate services.
Anyways, I start to see the light of XBox 360, but will most likely not buy the system unless some cool games come out. PS3 and the Revolution (Revolution for sure … Sony, release more information damnit!) have my interest and will most likely end up buying those 2 for sure.

yeah its not just japan that is hating on it, but a survey taken in europe(keep in mind it was with 10 days before the release) and the fans still favored the ps3 over the 360.
And also the fact that Xbox is milking the fact that complete morons watch shows like MTV and thus apply to all the mindless zombie retards that like shitty music and madden.
And yeah I am still waiting for the offical PS3 controller. But yeah I expect Sony to reveal all by GDC and Nintendo has already announced they would bare all before the end of the year.
