Next-Gen Finally Here
This week will surely go down in history as the long awaited start to Next-Gen. Though I am not meaning to quote Sony by any means, in fact I am not. I forget how long ago exactly, but I do recall Sony saying that "Next-Gen doesn't start until we get on the market," that's not word-for-word and I apologize, but the fact that they and the Nintendo Wii arrive at our Gaming-Chains this week is rather exciting.
For the first time all 3 consoles will be on the playing field, and while the numbers of consoles we will receive is low, it's save to assume that all 3 consoles are going to have a bang of a holiday Season. I myself am most anticipating not the PS3 itself, however the price they will be going for on Ebay, LOL. For those of you still unsure which console to go for and have the resources and money for either... well if your not in line yet chances are you can't even get a PS3 so sorry for that. However those of you that are still able to read this you might like to know what games are coming out for each, and I gotta give credit to Joystiq for compiling this nice little list:
PlayStation 3:
- Call of Duty 3 - Genji: Days of the Blade - Madden NFL 07 - Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire - NBA 07 - NBA 2K7 - Need for Speed Carbon - NHL 2K7 - Resistance: Fall of Man - Ridge Racer 7 - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 - Tony Hawk's Project 8 - Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom
Nintendo Wii:
- The Ant Bully- Avatar: The Last Airbender- Barnyard- Call of Duty 3- Cars- Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2- Excite Truck- The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy- GT Pro Series- Happy Feet- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess- Madden NFL 07- Marvel: Ultimate Alliance- Metal Slug Anthology- Monster 4x4: World Circuit- Need for Speed Carbon- Open Season- Rampage: Total Destruction- Rapala Tournament Fishing!- Rayman: Raving Rabbids- Red Steel- SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab- Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent- Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam- Trauma Center: Second Opinion- World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions
I don't know about you guys, but one console seems to not only have a couple more games, but a couple more games that I actually want ;). Happy hunting this weekend, Best Buy and Circuit City both open at 8 am on Friday.
Anyone getting the consoles or the games hit us up to let us know the environment and how well you enjoy it or don't when you get it. Also on one small note, the Playstation 3 has an update for those of you getting it that will need to be downloaded before you can play, so your gonna need an internet connection.
