Miyamoto: Twilight Princess will “take advantage of the Revolution controller”

Nintendo of Europe conducted an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto this morning and amongst many other things he confirmed what so many of us have believed for a long time. According to Miyamoto, “when you play Twilight Princess on Revolution you can take advantage of the Revolution controller”. That’s about as straightforward as you can get. The only thing more official than this would be a press conference, and I expect Nintendo to hold one if they have any consumer sense whatsoever. It should be noted that the game is still intended to be released for Gamecube. The Revolution functionality comes only when you play the game on Revolution with its backward compatibility.
You might say “But Nintendo has stated many times that Twilight Princess will not support Revolution functions!”. Oh yeah? I challenge you (yes you) to find me a real quote from a Nintendo exec stating clearly that Twilight Princess will not support any Revolution functionality. You will not find one. Nintendo has been dicking around with the details of this game ever since the first utterings of a Revolution based Twilight Princess were made a few months after the delay in August. And frankly, it pisses me off.

Are you serious!?!? its not comming out on the Gamecube system?…..i dont think if its on the Revolution it will be as good. Isnt the Revolution suppose to have some weird TV remote control…i dont think any GAME can promote a remote like that!! if the controller isnt like that…well, my bad…sorry. Hey just to say…why have they been delaying things that seriously will make a great hit? (ex. Advent Children) Then this??? kind of weird.

it will be coming out for gamecube BUT if you put it in your Revolution system you can use the controller to do special things.. for example using the controller to aim the bow and arrow.

Mr Miaymoto I think personaly that it is a stupid idea. No offence but the contoller is pretty cool and i have a gamecube but why make a new cube thingy.
Why not program the controller to work for gamecube then people will buy the Twilight Princess and the controller. Wat is the point of makin a new system and a controller? The new system and controller is great and all but i didnt plan to buy one . Zelda rocks and all but i dont think i can afford the new Nintendo system. So i think u should make the Twilight Princess for Gamecube because i was really looking forward to playing it on Gamecube and i just found out from this site that your going to make it for the Revolution. So maybe thats why it said on IGN that is was coming in fall. Well like i said people love Zelda and they would appreciate it if you would make it for the Gamecube.

Uhh Miaymoto i wish you would make it for Gamecube i was hoping I would collect it in April but your the creator its your duty to see wats best for Zelda. I love zelda i got the Windwaker and the collecters edition but the Minish Cap sorta stunk.

ITS NOT FAIR NOW I WILL HAVE TO BUY THE REVELUTION!!! O WELL I WILL JUST HAVE TO GET MORE MONEY! HMMMMM NOW I HAVE A MAGAZINE I CAN FIND OUT THE ESTEIMATED COST AND THEN SAVE THAT MONEY TO BUY THE REVELUTION AND THE TWILIGHT PRINCESS BUT IT STILL SUCKS THAT ITS NOT FOR GAMECUBE! >:(

Im sry for the past messeges i read somin on IGN and I think i understand Mr.Miaymoto. Your going to publish the game for Gamecube then we can play it on the Revelution with the controller! I hope that is what you mean.

Other than Twilight Princess, there are 2 other Zelda games in development right now.
And yes it will be a gamecube game, but if you put it in the revolution you can use the controller for certain things like shooting the bow and arrow.
