Halo 3 Walkthrough

Sephiroth Final Fantasy 7 was defiantly a uncontroversial game when it hit store shelves 10 years ago, but to think that the wave of problems would still be occurring is rather trivial. Kotaku reports that two German gamers carried out murder (they stabbed two people to death) and then kidnapped a female companion and held her at knife for an hour before giving themselves up. The culprits to these violent acts were Reno and Sephiroth. While these are not the real names of the two young men in question they are the handles they took on while committing the crimes.

After investigations of the young mens living area, copies of Final Fantasy 7 were found on there computers… guess what? there blaming Final Fantasy 7… unbelievable.

Hit up Kotaku for some more information, but basically Germany has more issues than us Americans when it comes to blaming games, so the gaming environment over there is sure to get worse.

“but basically Germany has more issues than us Americans when it comes to blaming games, so the gaming environment over there is sure to get worse.” unfortunately ur so damn right about this… I’m german and it is so awkward how small our politicians’ view on this subject is. Blaming FF7 for being the reason for a murder like this is just embarrassing, so i already started not to care any more. It’s just too stupid to waste any more time on this matter ;)

as to what i recently read, the discussion about FF7 seems to be calming down, as the 15 year old hostage said live on tv that those two boys didn’t call themselves by the names of Sephiroth and Reno, in contrast to what the Bild (the most popular gossip newspaper in germany) claims. so i guess FF7 soon will be out of the line of fire. But I’m quite sure they soon find another game to blame -.-

It’s a very easy way for politicians to be like ‘HEY!! It’s those darn video games causing all the problems! Vote for me and I’ll solve all our problems by banning video games!’ and people eat that shit up.

As a socially conscious individual and extreme gamer myself, I must admit the trend these days with entertainment on a whole tends to be very violent in nature, I mean come on there was even a HORROR MOVIE released on christmas day. We are only the choices we make, so we need to examine the demons that exsist within ourselves, rather than the external means of entertainment. PEACE TO ALL and happy gaming.

Ok obviously these kids didn’t know what they were talking about because if they knew ANYTHING about Final Fantasy VII they would know that Reno and Sephiroth arn’t exactly buddies, am i right? The next murder is goign to be Elmo and Hello Kitty. It’s sickening to think that as soon as someone does something wrong, people are instinctively going after video games!
