Nintendo DS Lite Cracking Under Pressure

While this may very well be the first bit of negative news I have ever posted about the Nintendo DS it is rather disappointing. Considering the length of time that the DS lite has been in America, and the overall length of it's handheld life, problems arising so early on is rather troublesome. Reports over at Maxconsole.net say that the hinge of the DS Lite has been shown to crack with no abuse from the owners.

Based on the forum thread it would seem that the case is not an isolated one either, as numerous members have come forward with reports of hinge cracking. Though I don't see any reports of the hinge completely breaking, but it sure does hurt the attractiveness of a DS with a big crack on it :(.

Has anyone here seen or had any of these problems with their DS Lites?
