Square-Enix IP "Infinite Undiscovery" for 360

As much as many of you would like to correct me on more than one problem with that header I assure you it is in fact real. Square-Enix is developing a new game for the 360. Square will be working with Tri-Ace to develop this "dynamic next-generation RPG." All this was happening at the Microsoft Pre-TGS show and Hajami Kojima was the one presenting the new title on stage as well as showing off a trailer and logo for the title. Kojima is the producer of the new title and has also had involvement in the Star-Ocean series. However the trailer was NOT shown on the feed I was watching so... yeah we will have to wait and see for Square-Enix to release the trailer to the public or for someone to leak it.

We also know that Hiroshi Ogawa one of the prominent figures in the Star-Ocean series will be directing this new title. It would also seem that the term Discovery that is used in the title is directly meaning that the player will spend a lot of time discovering things. This is apparently one of the main functions of the game and depending on the character actions will depend on the discovery items and the world.

They went on to introduce something called situational battles where you may not be fighting the creature but they are affecting the parts of the world you are in, like encountering a orge while escaping a prision or ducking under the fire of a flying dragon... to be honest I don't entirely understand what they mean by this without seeing a visual trailer since the presentation is mostly translated it's hard to get a good understanding.

One feature however is very interesting and NEW to rpg games. Seamless-Real-Time gameplay, this means that nothing pauses you from the game, not evening going into the menu to check inventory or change parties, you are always vulnerable in your environment and I think this sort of translates to the situational gameplay as you are always in the game and never taken out of the experience.

Thats all the information I know at this time and I realize some of it is sort of hard to understand but hopefully once we have a trailer it will make a little more sense :). No information on release dates or anything like that either.
