Assassin's Creed: My First Impressions

This game is getting a lot of gripe, and to be honest from playing it for a good 2-3 hours now I can safely say that people are overly reacting, and it's what they get for hyping a game so much. If you ask me this will turn out just like Fable. While the game is good it's not going to live up to the enormous amount of hype and after seeing some poor review scores I am glad I got my hopes down before I sat down with the game. I find it for the most part fun, while yes it's repetitive but hell aren't all games? I don't remember the last time I played a game where everything I did wasn't the same shit over and over? FPS: you shoot shit, RPG: you get into random battles, Action-Adventure: you look for stuff and then fight for that stuff?

All of these things are common and known, so for people to expect the whole damn world to change dramatically just because you enter another city seems a bit over the top, you can't expect gameplay to change because the scenery has, you have fundamentals, how would everyone like it if their was a different controller scheme for every area? or if certain actions could only be done while in a certain town? If you ask me everyone needs to get their foot out of their ass and just sit down with an HD tv and enjoy the game for what it is, because if anything it is a decent game even if it isn't the epic adventure you all hoped for, it's still fun and enjoyable...

That's my two cents, if I hate the game in a couple of hours so be it, this is only a first impression.
