How Not to get a Playstation 3

In what has to be one of the dumbest moves in all of sales, Best Buy’s across the nation decided that they would not allow gamers to line up for the Playstation 3 console. As a result they would allow everyone and anyone that didn’t line up else where to come try and get a console at the same time in some orderly fashion?

This was the first sign of ignorance, stores telling us we couldn’t even be on the property and yet when I approached the Arundle Mills Best Buy in Maryland that was sadly not even close to the case. There was somewhere around 300 people surrounding the area in cars and on feet, though few in the actual parking lot. Then around 4:30 am the gamers grew impatient and many of them began charging the stores followed by many many pre-mature runs.

From what I understand Best Buy wanted everyone to come off the exit to Mill at around 5:55 and all orderly like show up at the door and form a nice line, however when faced with a mob of around 700 eager ebayers that was not the case. After about 30 minutes of the retards disobeying security the Police were called in. With about 15 police on the scene and mobs of retarded assholes constantly charging the door banging on it… the police shut it down. The manager said he wasn’t gonna sell a single console to any of those idiots and he didn’t. Whether or not the store did something when they actually opened I can’t say for sure. I myself went home disappointed that no riots broke out ;).

On another note, early that night a friend of mine won a lottery for the console after the Best Buy decided all 400 of us running down a grassy wet hill at 12:01 wasn’t the safest idea.
