Final Fantasy III DS Trailer

I get confused everytime I think about the FF3/FF6 debacle but from what I understand, it goes like this. Final Fantasy 3 was released in Japan only in the early 90's. Final Fantasy 6 was released for both the United States and Japan but in the US it was called Final Fantasy 3. Final Fantasy Anthologies came out in 1999 which contained a souped up version of the game that was called Final Fantasy 6 in Japan and Final Fantasy 3 in US. However FF3 for the DS is an upgraded version of FF3, which was only released in Japan. If I am wrong on any of these points, feel free to correct me.

So assuming my statement is correct, this is an all new Final Fantasy game to America, not just a revamped version of the US version of FF3. The game itself looks very much like FF8/FF9 in terms of graphical presentation and art style. Although the CG portion looks much better than anything we've seen on the PSX. Hopefully more details emerge as the game gets closer to release later this year.
