Final Fantasy XIII Only 13% Completed?

Admittedly I am still at the beach, however while scanning the news one last time before going to sleep I found something that just couldn’t wait until tomorrow afternoon to post. You see, some time ago, months even, and only a few weeks after the first showing of Final Fantasy XIII we had word that it was in fact 80% completed. So to see that the actual percentage of completion is as low as 13% on a title that is supposed to be out in a year is rather worrying.

IGN has the unbelievable scoop that this title which is now well over a year in production is still at 13%, while we all know Square-Enix is swamped with milking and creating various series, to see one of the more important titles this far away from completion is shocking and rather disappointing.

“What’s even worse” you ask? Final Fantasy Versus XIII is a mere 1.3% completed, so I guess basically Nomura created the Versus XIII trailers and just expected the game to create itself?

Like IGN said, hopefully TGS reveals something worthy of people getting excited about again, since seeing different stills of the same trailer over and over again is getting rather old :P.
