Halo 3 Walkthrough

RSS Feed for Unlimited Gamer The Current Gen Blues

This article is more of a reflection on the current status of the gaming industry and what it has been delivering. Maybe it’s just my taste in games or the fact that I have seen way to many delays over the past few months and years, but right the industry is killing me.

While I sit here waiting for games like Kingdom Hearts 2, Final Fantasy XII, and Twilight Princess; I find myself overly bored and disappointed with what is currently out. In the wake of the new Xbox 360 it would seem a lot of developers have put more effort into preparing games for the new consoles rather than providing quality material for the still very large current generation gamers. Maybe it’s just me but there was less than a million Xbox 360s sold so it’s a wonder to me why the gaming companies have started to shift focus.

Despite all this there is one game that looks to hold me off until games like KH2 land at my local gaming shop and that is the title Black. As if you haven’t heard me talk about this title enough I am again. This game looks so good in every meaning of the word. The graphics and gameplay look way above par for anything ever seen on a ps2 or xbox, and not only that but the developers are the same people that bought us games like burnout, so you know the fun factor and quality of gameplay is going to be off the scale. But other than that and and the few games that everyone has on there preorder accounts at EB there isn’t much going on in the gaming side of the industry.

well nintendo will always be strong, cheap and fun for the kids, little kids are created daily, theres always a market there, but older ppl stay older longer.

Yes, Richard is telling the truth. Nintendo was bragging about it lol. I think people want the 2006 games, like Twilight Princess and such (I know I do) but to anyone that has yet to buy a Gamecube…. depending on the release of Twilight Princess and the Revolution, it might be worth just going Revolution since it will be backwards compatible. But only do so if it is like 1 month apart or less… or whichever you like.

Anyways, I find myself occupied by World of Warcraft, my slow pace of console Games, and the DS as enough on top of webdesign. So, there are possibilities out there, online games are a good time consumer. Try them once and your hooked :O

Richard - Too little, too late. I’d say.

Heck….I would have bought a 360, except that it’s backwards compatibility is a bit too selective for my tastes. I mean, who seriously releases a system, boasting its B.C., then says, “Oh, but only with Halo 1 & 2, and maybe Splinter Cell.”

    Oh well….

There are pleanty of games out now that seem ok, though…. I’m wanting Shadow of the Collosus. And KH2 isn’t that far away (hopefully)….
