The Super Heroes of E3

As all of you know the day of E3 draws ever closer with every passing day, and with the GDC going on right now the importance of E3 becomes ever evident. E3 is the Industries weekend to show the world what they have, how fast, and how much there deliviering. So essentially if you can’t sell your product to the market then there is no chance of selling it to the consumer.
So behold in the coming May, yet another epic E3 will unfold. However don’t expect the debut of 3 next-generation consoles, instead you can expect how these consoles intend on shaping the next generation in full color and splendor… because if they don’t there in big trouble.
With the recent release of information regarding the delay of the PS3, consumers become increasingly frigid and skeptical of the console, granted the die hard fans are still holding there breaths; however there is a large number of people that may be turning the other cheek. With no announcement of price point, no playable demos, and still not a solid launch-line up, Sony could be in a serious pickle. So we get to E3, essentially the reason I wrote this is to point out how thin the ice is under Sony’s faith, as well as there booths. If Sony fails to showcase so much as a playable game at E3, in real time, then I fear that this is a losing battle for the once gaming console juggernaut that is Sony.
Failure to produce real-time gameplay and good launch titles will seriously hurt the Sony PS3, however, almost nothing I think could hurt the consoles launch in Japan. Either way, as some of us have realized based on the release of the Xbox 360, it takes more than your target region to win the hearts of gamers, and to make money. For the Xbox 360 the failure in Japan seriously shock them by not only preventing consoles to reach the hands of gamers in America that actually wanted the console, but also showed the weak support still displayed by Japanese consumers and companies.
As for Nintendo, I think they are just fine where they sit, even though we have not seen a single game for the console, we do know about the controller, and with all the speculation and talk in the industry, anyone who is anyone wants to make games for it. Even if the games that are produced for the next Nintendo system are simple remakes it would still be worth the while just because you are experiencing the game in a way that has never been done before. Just like the DS before it, innovation will win over the hearts of gamers, and allow Nintendo to continue it’s presence in the gaming industry.
So I guess some of you are wondering about the title of the article; then lets proceed into my next piece. If there are super heroes then who are the villains? I bet a lot of you want me to say Microsoft, but for once your wrong. The people who buy the games; who demand graphics and advancement of features in games that are not important to the game are the problems and villains in the industry. Every time you heard a kid say that game doesn’t look that good because of it’s lack of graphics is what is hurting this industry. There is less focus on in-depth story and character development then there ever has been in this industry, with a few exceptions. So I guess the moral of the story is, whatever you want the future of gaming to be truly depends on you guys the gamers, and now what the developers and companies will be showing this E3. So for once, consider a game or even a console that may not have the graphical advantage, I mean after all… the PS2 still has a heart beat left in it, I don’t see a reason to even go Next-Gen just yet.

lol You keep spelling “their” as “there”
Yes, my critism.
Anyways, you are righgt about the heroes and shit like that, gamers are the villians. But they can also be the heroes, as without them, there would be no business. Then again, without villians, there’d be no heroes…
Also, reports have said that Nintendo will announce the official name of the revolutiuon console tomarrow (Thursday) at a GDC conference. Also, the delay of the PS3 isn’t bad really, as alot of people are getting burned out of the cool games like Kingdom Hearts 2, Okami, Legend of Zelda: twilight Princess, and other games coming befroe winter… er, actually LoZ TP is coming around fall… damn… either way, this allows developers to ensure the console gets quality games, aka not rushing.
