Halo 3 Walkthrough

The buzz behind this story started back at the Tokyo Game show in 2005 when it was announced that the game would becoming to the PS3 and Xbox 360. This of course was rather behind close doors so it never really got much attention. Then this year at E3 it was once again being called a Playstation 3 Exclusive. However, a rumor was going around that it was running on the 360 again behind closed doors. The buzz has once again began that the game will be going multiplatform. 1up tried to get some information off Ubisoft but was only getting, “Assassin’s Creed is coming to the PS3. No other announcements have been made.”

So the fate of Assassin’s Creed is still sort of in the dark. If you ask me though, Sony losing another Exclusive title is only going to further hurt them. So lets take a step back and try and see what Sony still has exclusive.

At the moment Sony still has the Metal Gear Solid series despite some of the titles reaching the Gamecube I don’t think that Sony needs to worry that much about MGS4 being on the Wii. Next we have Killzone, which no one has even seen since last years E3 so that title isn’t really helping them. Next we have Unreal 2007, though that will also be going to the PC so that title isn’t really helping them either. I guess the last major series that Sony is holding is Final Fantasy, and with an estimated 3 other Final Fantasy 13 titles that have yet to be revealed it’s a wonder if the series will not branch onto the Wii or even the Xbox 360.

If Assassin’s Creed goes multiplatform, it’s just another reason to get the Xbox 360.

For all intents and purposes, Assassin’s Creed sounded to be the PS3’s game of the show. I had heard a lot about it actually running on 360’s at E3 too, but who knows how true that is as you’ve noted. As someone who owns a 360, I’d prefer that most things were multiplatform lol.

With MGS4, I’m not even convinced that it won’t eventually appear on 360. Kojima has mentioned that it is technically possible. Who knows how likely it is, but I do not think it is an impossibility.

UT2007 is something I figure will be on 360 anyway. Gears of War uses the same engine with obvious success and the Live platform is a great place for a game like that.

Well I think what epic is doing is very smart, they are putting out 2 awesome games, both going to pc, and each being slightly exclusive to one of the consoles. So gears goes 360 while unreal goes ps3.

Now where it gets smart, to play either of those games to full power on the pc, you have to upgrade, so you can prolly buy a new console for less than a brand new pci card and mobo and cpu, so they figure depending on what game you want more you will buy a 360 or ps3.

With the format war over, do you think Sony's incorporation of Bluray a good idea?
