That’s right the PS3 will launch from somewhere around 300-400 dollars mid-2006. That means the console could possibly be less than the Xbox 360 core console. Not only that but reports have been confirmed that despite the cost of Blu-Ray technology Sony does plan to launch at those prices and even states that it will be a significant loss to the company at first but will help it promote Blu-Ray as well as the console in the long run. This news comes very well received, though Sony does not intend on making a global release like the Xbox 360, we can bet they will do a better job, and since America gets the console second to Japan, ours wouldn’t be all messed up like the Xbox 360’s.
Not only that but the console will come bundled with various forms of media, whether these bundles will be more is unclear at the moment but I assume the games, movies, and TV shows they intend on bundling is to help the user understand how the PS3 is more than just a gaming console but a media entertainment system. In other words instead of just giving you a manual on how to use it, they show you how to use it, but packaging the possibilities.

lol well I want to believe but I cant. That’s just too ridulously low especially if it comes with games and whatnot. it make me wonder if they could be saying this conveniently at the time of 360’s launch to perhaps sway people who couldnt get a 360 today (like 90% of the people that want one) into waiting for a ps3?
