Final Fantasy III Wi-fi enabled

The latest Nintendo Power contained a clue that seemed to suggest that Final Fantasy III for the DS would be wi-fi enabled. That clue was the official Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection symbol printed on the same page as the feature they were doing for the game.
Well today IGN contacted Square-Enix about this and they confirmed that Final Fantasy III will be wi-fi enabled. No other details were discussed other than a reminder that the game comes to the states on September 12. I expect something similar to the wi-fi from Lost Magic, where you could battle head-to-head against other wi-fiers.
