Reggie of Nintendo told Eurogamer that the rumors of a Zelda movie were complete rubbish. Great news for half the Zelda fans sad for the other. Reggie later went on to state that he never even talked about a Zelda Movie to the magazine that reported the movie was in fact going to come out. Either way the rumor bites the dust.

“In our November issue, in the Doctor Mario section, because of a wrong interpretation of the editing we published that Reggie mentioned it would be being worked in a Zelda movie.Something that is completely FALSE. The note should have said what follows: While Nintendo is working in a Metroid movie project, in this moment there aren’t plans for a Zelda or Mario movies.
Club Nintendo assumes the mistake in its totallity.”
