Phil Harrison whom is one of the bigwigs at Sony and the one that keeps shoving there bullshit down our throats at E3, TGS, and GDC. Anyway he has the idea that the “Rumble” feature that well… everyone loves is a “last generation” feature and that with the SIXAXIS the possibilities are limitless… with exception to having your controller rumble and making it feel like your more apart of the game?
“I believe that the Sixaxis controller offers game designers and developers far more opportunity for future innovation than rumble ever did. Now, rumble I think was the last generation feature; it’s not the next-generation feature. I think motion sensitivity is. And we don’t see the need to do that. Having said that, there will be specific game function controllers, potentially like steering wheels that do include vibration or feedback function — not from us but from third parties.”

I don’t really think anyone thinks of the rumble feature as a big deal. So when he says that it’s more of a last generation feature, whats the big deal?
I mean really, who gets upset, when he just says that he thinks that the rumble feature is a last generation thing? It’s not like he said that it totally sucked and that anyone that likes it should be shot.
People need to lighten up, and quit bitching at everything.

feels like its lacking without rumble, especially when Nintendo has crazy motion sensing and still has the rumble while sony has a gimp version of it and no rumble :/
Removing the rumble was enough to make kojima turn is head somewhat on Sony, I can tell you if sony loses the mgs4 exclusive it will prolly be part of the lack of rumble, on top of the cost and all that junk.
