Day of Defeat is finally ready, well it was yesterday but beside the point. The famous WWII Expansion pack that was released some time ago after Counter-Strike had made a great impact on the Valve and gaming community became an instant hit amongst Half-Life players. Though it has been a long coming we finally get the latest and greatest Day of Defeat. This one is not free however, you will have to drop $19.99 for it if you didn’t get one of the packages that had included it which really sucks, but then again at least there putting it out there.
The update features all new graphics running on the source engine, but as a bonus there has also been an introduction into HDR lighting which will be Lost Coast’s major feature. Though the lighting is turned down a bit, running at full spec is without a doubt some impressive visuals. As for the physics don’t expect it to be like Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, after all there is no gravity gun, still a good update fans of the series.. well you probably already have it.
