Ok so I just got an Xbox 360 for Christmas and was playing some games and enjoying the arcade and having a total blast. Then for some reason I couldn’t log into Live and I just decided I would play Gears of War without the live connection no big deal.
However my connection went back up this afternoon and I was talking to my buddy about how I couldn’t get on Live or play even single player Gears of War. Word is that when logged into Xbox Live you cannot play Gears single or multiplayer. So for those of you that got a 360 for Christmas and are on Live and can’t play? well log out.
I been checking the Xbox forums and apparently this is the case for many games not just Gears of War. So yeah if your having any problems it’s not just you ;). So I guess you should go get some of your friends and play offline for a few days.

Hey this isn’t true (least not all of it) i too got a 360 for Xmas and i’ve been playing GoW Single Player logged on Live, so there must be some misunderstanding there.
Just my 2 cents.

yeah its been back up since yesterday the 29th it was messed up the afternoon of the 27th-morning of the 29th. Xbox themselves even acknowledged the problem. Interestingly enough if you were playing single player it was fine, but when you go to like start a new campaign or something it would just break.
