The Past

Pre-historic: 65,000,000,000 B.C.
In this era, a huge war is going on between the apes and the reptites. The main tribe of this war is the Ioka, which is lead by Ayla. The reptites, Lizard creatures, are lead by Azala. Azala want's to destroy both the Ioka tribe and the Laruba tribe. The Laruba tribe is called the Dactyl Tribe because the can call dactyls (pterodactyls). The Laruba tribe is scared of the reptites and they hide in the forest. No one knows where the Laruba village is. Lavos first arrives on earth in this era.

Dark Ages: 12,000 B.C.
This era is thrown into an ice age due to Lavos crashing into the earth. The people here learned how to manipulate Lavos's power using the red rock of the royal family, the Dreamstone. The Queen used the Dreamstone to create the Mammon Machine, which draws on Lavos's power. After that she used the machine to give the people magic. The people then became known as "The Enlightened Ones". The ones who could not learn magic became known as "The Earthbound Ones". After giving her people magic, she built a beautiful floating Kingdom and named it the Kingdom of Zeal. She banished the Earthbound ones to the caves on the earth. The only way to get to the main earth is to use the skyway. Queen Zeal's children were born with Magic powers. Zeal gave her daughter a magic pendant made from the Dreamstone and Lavos's power. Her son seems to be a troubled kid. He keeps to himself and has no friend except for his sister and his cat. He is rumored to have stronger magic than his sister. The Queen has sealed up all primitive weapons and forms of Magic on 2 floating islands. In this time period lives 3 Gurus. The Guru of Life, the Guru of Time, and the Guru of Reason. The Guru of Reason was ordered to build the Ocean Palace and the Blackbird. The Blackbird is a giant airship and the Ocean Palace was built so the Queen could get closer to Lavos and get more power. She has ordered the Earthbound Ones to help build it. The Guru of Life was banished to the Mountain of Woe because he opposed her plans. As of lately a strange prophet has appeared and warns the Queen of Crono and his friends.

Middle Ages: 600 A.D.
In this era, humans are at war against monsters, known as Mystics, controlled by the evil Prince of Darkness, Magus. He has defeated many Guardia Knights with his army. This is the time period that Crono first visits. Marle's ancestors live here. King Guardia XXI and Queen Leene. Many monsters lurk in this period. While everyone awaits the day that the Kingdom's best knight, Cyrus, will return, they also are excited whenever news of the legendary hero turns up. Everyone knows the Legend of the Masamune, a legendary sword with the power to destroy Magus.

The Present

Present: 1000 A.D.
In the present, beneath the peaceful surroundings, monsters from the past are scheming to destroy the world while residents, unaware of the approaching peril, celebrate in the kingdom of Guardia. All over the Kingdom, the people flock to the Millenial Fair. The King, King Guardia XXXIII, is worried about his Kingdom so much. He often gets in fights with his daughter, Marle because she doesn't like royal life. She runs away to join normal citezens. In the Village of Medina, the decendants of the Mystics despise humans and plot against them as they await the Day of Lavos when Lavos will kill all humans. The adventure of Chrono Trigger starts here.

The Future

Apocalypse: 1999 A.D. 1:24 P.M.
This day, also known as the Day of Lavos, is the day when Lavos arises from deep within the Earth, and destroys the world. Cities from all over the world fall as Lavos sends destruction all over the planet. You can get to this time period by taking the Epoch or using the gate inside the bucket at the End of Time. By doing that, you can stop Lavos before he destroys the world.

Future: 2300 A.D.
In this era, the world has almost been destroyed by Lavos. Those who survive are hungry, hurt, and hopeless. The Mother Brain computer, who has started her dark plan before Lavos attacked, has sent the R-Series to experiment and eliminate any human they capture. The R-Series are the series of which Robo come from. They have been tainted by the mother brain to be evil. Among those tainted is Robo's girlfriend, Atropos. Find out how to help the survivors, because the future of the world depends on you.

The End of Time

The End of Time
The End of Time is the point at which all time periods connect. Here lives an Old Man who can view all points in time. With him lives the Master of War, Spekkio. Spekkio knows everything about magic and teaches it to Crono and his friends. People arrive here when more than 3 people enter a gate at once or when something goes wrong with the Fabric of Time.
