The Factory Ruins

Enter the factory and examine the computer. Robo will open the path. You will be attacked by an Acid. It is strong
against most attacks. Slash does the most damage. Flame Toss does none. After you kill it, head up the conveyor belt.
You will come to 2 elevators. The left leads to the Lab Area and the right leads to the Right Area. I will only cover
the items found in the factory. Look at the bottom of this section. If you want them, go get them right now because
you won't get a chance for a little bit. After you get those items, if you choose, head to the lab area. Save and head up. Kill the monsters and then examine the computer. Get a [SHELTER] out of the chest and head down. Head across (go through the center to avoid fights), and then down on the other side. Head south and then east. Head through the door and grab the [HAMMER ARM] and [TITAN VEST] from the chests. Equip Lucca with the Titan Vest and Robo with the Arm. Examine the computer, then kill the monsters. Instead of going down the ladder in the corner of this room, head out to the east and head up the elevator to the Save Point. S&S and then head down to the bottom floor. Head out and up. You'll come to a locked door. Head to the left and grab the [PLASMA GUN] out of the chest. Examine the computer. It will tell you to enter the code "ZABIE". If you went to the factory area, you would have the code, but if not, the code is XABY on the SNES controller and Square, X, O, Triangle on the Playstation controller. Enter the room and flip the switch. Escape by going out and up the ladder since the elevators don't work now. Make sure Crono and Lucca have a good defense (Around 55-60) and full HP. Head back up to the room where I told you to head down the center. There will be a scene and then a boss battle.
This is a tough boss with only 2 party members. I mean, it's easy to kill them, but you have to be quick because they will constantly attack you one after the other. They have the same attacks as Robo, plus some that he won't get until later in the game. Start by using Fire Whirl on the center robot in the first row. After two rounds, the 3 in front will die. Repeat on the center robot in the back row. Heal when needed. Another strategy is to use Lucca to heal and have Crono perform Cyclone on the said targets. Afterwards you get a scene. At the end of the scene you find yourself at the end of time. |
