  Mission 8 - A Renewed Fear
You finally have the ability to use Devil Trigger, however it won't be of much use at the moment. Jump up and slash that thing on your right to release one of the tusks, it tells you that four more remain. Another of those ugly orb things lies on the opposite side of this same path. Drop off the edge here and head back in the direction you came from to find another right beside some kind of bus. Turn around and run in the opposite direction, break the wooden boards and examine the blue tablet to find thing for Secret Mission 4. To be honest I just recommend coming back to this mission later, your only chance is using the Swordmaster circle button attack while in Devil Trigger mode, but even then you just drain it extremely quickly at this point in the game.

Jump over the bus and head through the opening down deeper into the creature. Remember to avoid stepping on that oozing yellow goo. There's one behind the disgusting waterfall and then run up the path, wall kick up to the higher platform and cross the bridge to reach another of those Red Orb statues and on the opposite side is the final device. Jump down and grab the three Red Orbs right below you. Now as you jump down land on top of that large pirate ship at the far end, on top of it you'll find another Blue orb Fragment. Now jump all the way down. You'll find the entrance that you opened up is at the front end of the bus. At the end of this path you'll find a statue built into the wall and you can make some upgrades if you wish. Slash through the thing at the end and head through to the next room. Ignore what you see here and keep following the path. As you do in the next area a huge gigapede monster similar to the one you fought previously will give chase. If you learned anything from the Spider chases in Devil May Cry it's that running is for sissies and real men fight back for the Red Orbs. Start slashing this thing like crazy and it should be too distracted by the pain to even fight back. Enter the next room and get ready to battle some brand new enemies.

Just make your way down the path into the following room, in here a bunch of enemies will spawn and every orb they drop will be absorbed by the pod in the middle, once it has absorbed enough pods a small scene occurs and you can pick up the Ignis Fatuus. Leave the room via the optic nerve. As you proceed near the beginning there will be a left fork off the path, run down to the end and grab the Green Orb. Now continue along until you come to another fork, down the left branch here is a statue, you'll need the Cerberus to destroy it and get the Blue Orb Fragment. Now take the right branch for a another Gigapede chase, kick its ass and enter the door at the end. Take the opening on top of the bus. Follow the path to the end, use the statue and go through the door at the end. Examine the pedestal in the middle and use the Ignis Fatuus.

Heart of Leviathan

This boss has three parts, the main core and two side pods. In order to destroy the main core you must first defeat one of the pods. Doing this opens up the core and allows you a chance to attack, once a certain amount of time has passed the core closes and you have to defeat on of the pods again. Very simple idea, but still a somewhat difficult fight. If you're using the Swordmaster style doing the circle slash in the air works well for damaging the pods otherwise stick with your Handguns and a downward triangle slash as you fall. Numerous enemies will surround you during the battle but a fortunate side effect of slashing the pod as you fall is that you will be defeating enemies while you land. This is good because it builds your Devil Trigger bar, each time the main core opens up you should go into Devil Trigger mode and start using the normal four sword slash combo over and over (or whatever weapon you prefer) until you are attacked by enemies. Quickly get out of Devil Trigger and start the process again. One more important thing to note obviously is how to dodge the boss' attacks. It only has two and they are both extremely easy to dodge. The first is a purple orb attack where balls of energy will come after you, these can actually hit the enemies and destroy them so all you need to do is hide behind an enemy and the orbs will be taken care of as they come near you. They also dissipate quickly and move slowly so jumping out of the way works well. The second attack is a red laser beam that starts on the left or right side of the room randomly, then goes back and forth two times. Just use a combination of Air Hike and stalling yourself with the Handguns to avoid it. Just note that after the boss has lost more than half its health, it changes this attack to involve two laser beams. Now what you need to do is when you see the boss preparing for it jump into middle of the room and Air Hike the instant the lasers appear, land on the ground after they have crossed once and Air Hike one more time.
