Run down into the next hall and go through the door. You'll be trapped in
here and have to defeat three spider enemies. Once they are killed go through
the door with the design on it. Now if you don't currently have it equipped
use the statue and put on the Trickster style. Position yourself in front of
the little design on the wall directly left of the statue and start to run up
the wall, when you jump off Air Hike almost immediately toward the wall again
and if you're good you can land in a little hidden area up top. In here you
will find a Blue Orb Fragment. Drop down and to be faced with a puzzle. It's
quite simple, All you have to do is destroy the correct mirrors with your
sword, if you happen to mess up you can smash the emblem at the top to restore
them all. I could draw a diagram however I'm sure you know the difference
between East and West. To complete this simple puzzle just smash the West
mirror and the South mirror. Return to the waterfall near the beginning of
this area, there's a statue on your right and a door on your left. Take the
door when you're ready. There's just a long linear path here with some
enemies leading to another door. Avoid the spinning pillars on the wall when
defeating these enemies, proceed into the next area. Follow the path on
Dante's right and you'll see a red orb on top of a stone pillar after you pass
by the statue. Jump up onto that pillar and from there up to the rock
platform, there's a shining object at the end, grab it to receive the Spiral,
a new gun. Jump down and return to the statue, enter the room beside it.
Navigate between these spinning columns to the end of the hall. In the next room you'll find Ambrosia sitting on the plate between the torches. Get ready to do battle against five of the arachnids though. Return to the main lake area with the waterfall. You will note that there is a statue near the waterfall, keep it in mind because you do not currently have the weapon needed to break it. Enter the cave through the waterfall. As you go through make a left at the fork and slide down to an area where you will find a Devil Star. Jump back up and fight your way through, on the right wall of where most of the enemies are concentrated you can double jump up to a secret platform above. You'll find two crystals here, they reveal Secret Mission 5. The goal of Secret Mission 5 is to destroy all the destructible objects within the time limit. The Rebellion works fine, you don't need any special techniques to do this, just a little knowledge of what you're after. Most of the things are pretty obvious, I'll just outline them basically in case there's anything that's really frustrating you. Near where you start you want to destroy the sign beside the door, all the tables and bar stools, then the five bottles on the counters beside the door. Over on the other side there's a jukebox and dartboards blocking two barrels, as well as another two barrels near the bar and beside the exit door that lead to the club in Mission 3. In the bar not only are there all the bottles to destroy on the back shelf but there are also a number of bottles on that hanging shelf above the actual bar counter. There's also a barrel back here. There's nothing super hidden, in fact if you followed that you should have exactly 47 right now. The last three are the three barrels located on top of the bar. Now get your reward. With another Blue Orb Fragment in your possession it's time to continue along that path you were on. Head down to a design carved into the call, put the Ambrosia into the hand and open the door. Prepare yourself for a fight.
Here's an example of a fight that really gets harder as it goes along, almost to the point where it really isn't difficult at all until near the very end. This boss can be defeated quite easily just by knowing exactly what to do. First of all the boss has a special shield made of bats on all the time so what you need to do is eliminate this shield. This can be done quite easily with your sword but you won't be able to just run up to her all the time. She has four attacks in her first form, here's what to do. First she will start by throwing electric bats at you. This attack can be dodged simply by walking, brutally easy. The second attack is when a ball of light appears on the ground and then turns into a large vertical beam, again simply by holding the analog stick and running in any direction it is guaranteed you will dodge this. Finally she has a small electric attack that is short range, once this final attack goes through run up to her and start smashing with your sword combo, you will be able to tell her shield is diminishing. You'll either knock it off here or on the next repeat of this technique, but the point is when you do right away hit L1 to go into Devil Trigger and use the normal four slash combo over and over again for a good 1/5 of her life gone. This is the basic process you will be using for the entire fight. After two of these damage attacks her pattern changes. She gets a new attack that's extremely easy to dodge. You will see the floor become electrified and then that's your cue to Air Hike and start firing Ebony & Ivory to delay in the air while the entire ground is shocked. Her other new attack is the first difficult to dodge one, it's similar to the Griffon from Devil May Cry where electric pillars come at you either horizontally or vertically. Rather than moving between them or jumping over them I find it easier simply to run to the side since neither of them fill up the whole screen. You need to watch out though because before this attack is even over she will fly right up to you and use a powerful melee attack, make sure you run out of the way and then the instant it is over that's your chance to start sword swinging again to take off the shield. Finally when it gets to the point where one more round of attacks will kill her, she gets one new super powerful attack. She warps to the centre of the room and her shield drops, now under NO circumstance should you go near her, if she touches you in this condition she sucks the life out of you restoring her back up to almost half and pretty much signing your death certificate. What you want to do is simply run normally in the opposite direction until she gets too close and then Air Hike up into the air and fire your guns to delay as long as possible. By the time you land she will have gone back to her previous routine. One more thing to note is that in this case her shield also regenerates at a much faster rate so in order to end the battle quickly you will probably want to slash her shield in Devil Trigger mode as well, rather than just using it when the shield comes off. Despite the rather lengthy explanation here, she really is probably the easiest boss yet. Afterward you get a new weapon and quite possibly the dumbest (and by dumbest I mean the most totally awesomest) cutscene in the entire universe. Enjoy. |
