  Mission 17 - Inner-Demons
Above the light beside you is a Vital Star S in the little indentation. Make your way to the end of the hall, if you go through the crack you can try to defeat all the enemies for a Yellow Orb, but it isn't really worth it. Proceed through the door and prepare your wrists for a beating. There's a Red Orb crystal in the middle of the room, and a Blue Orb Fragment statue on the right side which must be destroyed using a better-than-Showtime combo with the Beowulf gauntlets, it's difficult but very doable, just be sure to change your attacks with every single swing. Get ready for a bit of platform jumping as well as you slowly progress up this area on the moving blocks and through the first door you come to. Defeat all the enemies here and go out the door, you'll find a statue and at the end of the path a Blue Orb Fragment.

Return to the large block room and continue to jump up all the way to the top. In here you'll find a statue and one single path up to the trials. Beat the arachnids in here and then go through the door on the right of the rubble- blocked doors. In the next room you have to face a far more difficult version of the spear trial. If you have any Devil Trigger remaining use it, because you'll need some serious speed to get through this. At the top there's a crack in the wall to go through. Use the bounce pad to reach the upper area. Now in this part jump up onto the ceiling beams, on not the highest, but middle level there is one illuminated figure to examine for Secret Mission 11.

For this mission you have to do pretty much you you just did in Mission 17, only much more difficult. The spikes are moving much faster this time and avoiding them becomes all the more difficult. Without Devil Trigger you can pretty much set this Blue Orb Fragment aside to pick up later, because without the extra boost of speed getting from one end to the other is just impossible.

In the next room you'll meet some new enemies that are rather on the dangerous side, but certainly nothing you can't take care of with a few hard punches from old Beowulf. Use the statue in the next area and continue on up toward the top. A cutscene triggers when you approach the dark cloud.

Doppelganger

You can beat this boss without being hit once. I'm telling you that now. Do this right and you'll be set because he has a distinct pattern and is one of the only bosses who doesn't change it as the fight goes along. Here's what to do: equip yourself with the Beowulf gauntlets, now you will notice that there are many lights around this area, but the shutters are closed. To open them on the normal difficulty it takes exactly one normal Beowulf combo, then exactly two more hits. So what you want to do is combo one of them, hit it once more and WAIT. When the boss charges you from the middle you hit it the final time right as he is about to reach you and the light will shatter his shield. Unfortunately the time you are given to attack is very short so you'll have to do this quite often, but like I said there's a pattern. After this assuming you are still on the outer edge he will ALWAYS do the attack where energy blasts up from the ground, this can be dodged simply by running. After that he will always jump forward and attack you, this can be dodged easily by jumping. After jumping and dodging this attack aim and start a combo on one of the many lights. When you have one hit left wait for him to jump toward you which he will do every time and smash the light to break his shield. Repeat over and over until desired results are achieved. One more recommendation I would give is that you should aim the analog stick toward the lights when attacking rather than R1 targeting, because even when you're standing beside the light it still has a tendency to target the boss sometimes.
