Literally one of the smallest roles of the Avalanche Team. His only appearances are on the back of Red XIII as it would seem the giant white blob that carried him as since been destroyed or something of that nature. He is still the hyper little cat but he really doesn’t add or take from the story of the movie at all.

Cait Sith is one of those characters in the game that both pisses you off and then at the last minute helps you out. You meet him at the Gold Saucer where he offers to read your fortune. Because he is really just a robot being controlled by a Shinra Executive he of course gives a good fortune. Because of the awkwardness of the fortune you receive he demands to join your party and you really have no choice on the matter. Later on Cait Sith will steal the key to the temple of the Ancients from you and hands it off to the Turks. Thus begins a while goose chase to the temple of the Ancients where you have to beat the Shinra to discovering the Black Materia that rest inside of it. However we soon learn that the temple itself is the materia and must be condensed in order to form it, so Cait Sith atones for his wrong doings by being the person that configures the temple to condense thus destroying his body. Other than that he really has no other purpose in the game.

In the movie Cait Sith has a very small role much like Yuffie as the satire. He is only there so the whole gang is there as well as to have a good laugh at his expanse.
