Yuffie is still the Young Materia Ninja from Wutai. In the game Yuffie is one of the harder characters to get on your team as you have to go through various dialogs and eventually fight as her to reclaim her on your team. Yuffie continues to be the rather unsmooth like Ninja that she is in the game. Even after coming to the aid of her friends from parachute she almost throws up from motion sickness.

Yuffie is a side character in the game so some of you may have never even had her. In order to get her you had to go to specific forest areas and defeat her in battle. Following the battle you would have to talk with her in order to get her to join your team. Not only that but if you didn’t say the right thing you would steal various items. Throughout the game you will learn her true purpose was to rob you blind of all your materia as that is sort of her occupation as a ninja. In the game if you do choose to go to her native land you will be forced to undergo a side quest as upon entering the village Yuffie will steal all of your materia. Though it is not cruelly intended it is more of nosiness than anything else. Other than the side quest there isn’t much else to do with Yuffie, in the game you can once again return to the village in order to proof your strength and usefulness but it really isn’t that worth it to begin with if you ask me. Besides that not much is known about Yuffie other than she is a Careless Ninja. :P
Role in Advent Children (Spoilers) |
In the movie she has a relatively small role in which she offers some humor and aid to the Avalanche team. Her first appearance is in the fight against Bahamut where she drops in from Parachute angry about who was using her materia. Throughout the fight she offers some assistance and shows of some cool moves but not much else. She again shows up on the Sierra and allows for some more satire when she is confused at why the Avalanche team wants to allow Cloud to fight alone. It would seem she is still rather childish despite being like 18.
