Tifa remains mostly the same as she did in the game, still working in the 7th Heaven bar which now also doubles as a rather orphanage. Tifa takes it upon her self to help the needy children while protecting the ones she loves with her fist. She remains as graceful and powerful as ever when displayed in her fight against Loz, though Tifa is not Clouds lover she still remains greatly connected to him and aids him in anyway she can.

In the game Tifa assumes the role of your childhood friend, she is the only person that knew the Cloud before the accident at the Mt. Nibel Mountain occurred and is still alive. From the time that she was a Child she was one of Clouds only friends and could even be considered Clouds Girlfriend at a younger age. Later in the story it is the love that Tifa has for Cloud that will save him from his memories after he falls victim to the Life Stream. For the most part Tifa is a constant supporter of Cloud and is always helping him out and believing in him.

Tifa's role in the movie is a rather important one from my point of view, because Tifa is basically the second lead character of the movie because of her constant presence. She is currently working at a bar and is housing Marlene and Denzel. It would appear that Cloud had lived with her for some time while running his delivery service. However as of late Cloud had moved out and Tifa is concerned about his condition. Tifa takes it upon herself with the help of Marlene to bring back Cloud from the church after learning that he has fallen victim to the Geostigma. But Tifa's day at the church is cut short when Loz shows his face longing for Jenova. Following the introduction of Loz, Tifa and Loz have a fight in which we learn that Tifa has not at all lost her edge, though it would seem not enough against Loz as he shakes off all of her attacks and eventually takes her down. Later in the movie Tifa is saved by Reno and learns that Marlene has been taken away by the SHM. At this time Tifa's presence in the movie parallels that of the time when she saved Cloud from the Life Stream. She must again convince Cloud that he is able to fight and that he is strong enough to save everyone. This is Tifa's most important role because she again serves as the emotional push that Cloud needs to become himself again.
