Yazoo is a rather happy character and is always optimistic that he and the group will accomplish what they need to. He like Loz is under the command of Kadaj and while he is not entirely noble he is still a strong pawn. Like Loz he is a constant problem for Cloud. His weapon appears to be a kind of gunblade, and is most likely the weapon confirmed to have the name "Velvet Nightmare".

In the movie Yazoo serves as like Loz as a right hand man to Kadaj’s needs. He and Loz do various things like gathering the children in order to brain was them as well as attempting to pull down the statue in the center of the neo-Midgar in attempt to uncover the location of the Jenova pieces. Though it doesn’t appear that Yazoo or Loz for that matter has the ability to become Sephiroth like that of Kadaj, in a sense Yazoo and Loz are both incomplete larva of Sephiroth. Throughout the movie Yazoo and Loz sort of tag team Cloud, and when they can’t seem to handle the situation they either pull out of Kadaj comes to their aids. Later on it would seem as though Yazoo meets his demise as well as Loz at the hands of Reno and Rude, however it is not until the end that they all sort of just fade away into the nothing they crawled out of.
