So far very little information has been released regarding the upcoming sequal to one of the best games of 2005. However with E3 apporaching at great speed it is save to assume that more information will begin to be released and I assue you we will be at the forefront of that information. What we know right now is that the story still revolves around the dynamic Kratos and his now God abilities after taking the throne from Ares. The game is slated for a 2007 release on the Playstation 2, this is no error, the game will be playable on the Playstation 3, but the fact remains it's being developed on Playstation 2 hardware.
So far we have only recieved some small clips and magazine scans, one of which from the GDC convention earlier this year, and some more out of a Playstation magazine. From the media released thus far it would seem as though the graphics are better, the violence is hyped, and everything we loved about Kratos and God of War is still there but with so much more. The environments appear vast and impressive, it would also seem that the great boss battles have returned in one scene where Kratos is riding on a great chariet. For the first time, it would seem that Kratos will also take to the skies, as the last clip of the GDC trailer suggests as he rips off the wings of the creature he is riding on. Other than that we just have to use our imaginations ;)
