So for the past hour i have been trying to recover my live account unsuccessfully. Ive tried this at a buddys house around 10pm earlier in the evening. I was able to create a brand new account though to play halo 3 on. Even with that, halo 3 was slow, laggy and very very inconsistent with match finding.  Better luck next year? seriously, all i want to do is play games.

Just when I thought that I had completely forgot about this game and would not ever care to hear it’s name again, 3d realms releases a new teaser. God do I love to be critical of a game that’s been in development for as long as that phantom console. The thing of it is, a few years back sites and game journalist were reporting that this game would blow half-life 2 out of the water and have a better physics engine and better handling of particles and graphics… well since then games like crysis and portal have been released so I am rather interested to see what this game amounts to after nothing but talk and no show.

So yeah enjoy it I guess? but I personally think this other web video that just got dugg is way more fire than some watered down teaser:

As an early Christmas present, my brother bought me UT3. The long awaited game for the PS3 has finally arrived. As an exclusive till July of 08, UT3 will only be available for the PC and the PS3. I definitely was surprised by some of the things that was in the UT3 game. The graphics, sounds, gameplay all wrapped up to be a very fun game.

Graphics: No surprise here how good the graphics are. Coming from the makers of last years top Xbox game Gears of War, the graphics are by far the best I have scene in a long time. Makes Halo 3 look like an old xbox game. Epic has definitely gone all out on the graphics. The only question is where is the 1080P?

Game Play/Controls : So there two ways to play single and multi. In single there is some what of a story line. It explains how deathmatches works and how people keep respawing. The single player does get a little boring playing with bots. Heres the real reason people buy UT3, the multiplayer. UT3 makes Halo3, Resistance:Fall of Man, and Gears of War look slow. Like granny driving a car slow.UT3 is super fast paced. You better have some itchy trigger fingers if you want to play this game. Like in past UT games, there is no health regeneration. Its all about finding armor and health packs. You also start off with only a pistol and a compressor hammer(it shoots compressed air). The vehicles are also outstanding. I only got to play with 2 vehicles so far, the Hover Board and the Scorpion. The Scorpion drives like a Warthog from Halo and the Hover Board just brings back memories from Back to the Future 2, where Micheal J Fox’s character Marty tries a hover board for the first time. Multi Player definitely does the game justice even on a ps3 controller. I will later try to play more death matches and with a keyboard and mouse. The biggest problem I have with the game is the price. Its a great multiplayer game but there isn’t enough content to justify paying a full 60$ for

Sound: Sound has been the same for the past 7 years. It sounds like the same guy who yells double kill and multi kill when you kill a crew of people. The soundtrack is pretty lame as usual. It seems recycled from the previous Unreal games. Boo on the sound. I hope there is an update later where we can use our own music playlist.

Replay Value : The online multilayer will definitely hold its own. Unfortunately after playing the campaign for about an hour I got tired of it. I have played the multiplayer for a straight 3 hours. Its hard to put down the controller.

Definitely a must buy for a PS3 title, but without any user content to be downloaded at release, and a lack luster campaign, it could definitely shoo buyers away from this title that is 60$ on just a multiplayer game.

I hope everyone had their fun filled days after Thanksgiving.
There were so many video game releases that should of satisfied everybody’s video game hunger. Leading up to Turkey Day, long awaited games such as Assassins Creed, Rock Band, Super Mario Galaxy, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Mass Effect all popped up at our local retailers. If that wasn’t enough, you could of picked up tons of older games at significantly lower prices on Black Friday. As an avid gamer, I went broke over Thanksgiving break. Buying a TV and TV stand. Also I went out and bought an Xbox Elite right before the month of November started and picked up Halo 3. It has been a very hectic month of money spending for me. Now that my household contains 2 xbox 360s, a Wii and a PS3, only more reviews and more exciting rants about each system will follow. So with today being the start of the week after Thanksgiving, lets all reflect on the past week and tell us what you have played to help you pass time.
