While I am sure the entire world is like omg? I am signing up right now if that much money is on the line. Let it be known that when there is money to be made there is money to be spent. For those of you that want in the registration starts today, if you do so before the 2nd of Novemeber you pay $275, anytime after that is $475 dollars. That means if your not a 50 in team slayer or lone wolves don’t even bother. Unless you are “THAT” nice. The contest will run over 4 days from Dec 18-22nd, and that means on top of your entry fee you need to rent a room and fly to Dallas to even play in the contest.

Yeah this contest is not exactly for those that are shook so if your shook then just don’t bother hahaha. But yeah some Halo 3 news, some gaming news, and some news about money… I think I did my job today?

Lost Odyssey

I figure it’s been a minute since I posted up some eye-candy and sure enough I find some scans of Lost Odyssey that showcase like 10 characters, while some of them are familiar faces, quite a few look to be new attentions or at least they are the first I have seen of some of them. Click the image above to few the complete scan ;).

RSS Feed for Unlimited Gamer Spore is Six Months away… maybe :P

Recently Spore creator Will Wright spoke on a radio show where he said “We have the game fully playable at this point and it’s in final testing.” This is fantastic news for gamers all over the world who have been dying for this title.

For those of you that don’t know what Spore is, or maybe it’s been so long since you last heard or saw something about it let me refresh you. Spore is essentially a Sim of the cycle of life, so basically all the sim games we have played up to this point have only been a fraction of civilization. That means that in this title you start from the very beginning in cellular form. You will from there begin your journey with evolution and civilization gradually developing over time until you are experiencing inter-galactic travel :P.

The game is due out for Spring 2008, and with the six month projection the game is right on schedule.

For those of you lucky enough to live in Chicago and be a Final Fantasy fan I would have to strongly recommend going to see this concert, with ticket prices ranging from $35-150 dollars it’s easily in even the causal Final Fantasy’s Fan budget. For those of you that are on the hardcore side the higher priced tickets may be in your best interest, especially if you want to meet a certain legendary Nobuo Uematsu ;).

CHICAGO, October 18, 2007 - AWR Music Productions, LLC announces that Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY will make its U.S. premiere on March 1, 2008 at 8 pm at The Rosemont Theatre, performed by the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra and the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra Festival Choir. The 2-hour program produced by composer Nobuo Uematsu and AWR Music Productions will be conducted by Arnie Roth. The exhilarating concert will feature a special guest appearance by Nobuo Uematsu.

Tickets can be purchased online, through the box office, Ticketmaster locations and by credit card at 312-559-1212.

When you purchase a $150.00 ticket, it comes with a after concert meet and greet session with Nobuo Uematsu, a copy of the new Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy CD, and a special tour program book. This can be redeemed at the venue on day of show.

A bit of the concert program which is subject to change:

So I have been browsing the net and stumbled upon a review of the Orange Box on Digg. I figured it was going to be either interesting or retarded and sure enough its hilarious and hits the nail on the head.

For anyone that hasn’t gotten the game I highly suggest it, if not for just portal then for the other 4 classic games that come with it :).

Uh, I admit I saw the commercials but this shit still slipped under the radar for me, I picked it up last night luckily just got it before Best Buy closed. The game is fire, for anyone a fan of the series pick it up for the 360 or the PC. I don’t know if the PC version has the achievements but its all very sick I assure you. The 360 version I have already played through portal and it’s damn near awesome and it’s just one of the 5 games packaged in this box for 60 dollars. The replay ability of this entire box is simply endless and well if you have a 360 you need this boxset, it’s the greatest deal in gaming history and I don’t mean to quote whoever the fuck said it, it’s the truth.

Go, Go, Go.

While it’s only been about a week I assume a lot of people in the world have already gotten this guide so I was trying to get one up as quickly as possible. Turns out the dude that did our Gears of War guide just got done doing a Halo 3 one so he was definitely my first choice in terms of getting a guide. You can check out the Halo 3 Walkthrough here, cruise around it if you haven’t played the game it has a lot of useful tips and information on beating the game. However this guide doesn’t contain the Terminal and Skull locations, I will be posting them up hopefully later in the day as I have found most of them :).

For anyone that likes Brad’s work we will be posting a few more of his guides in the coming weeks, he’s a good writer and gets to the bare bones of shit so I really like his style. The lack of updates has been in part to a lack of next-gen faq writers on the site but Brad just hooked us up with all of his stuff so stick around for more guides on the pike.

Happy Slaying Spartans!
