I am sure some if not more of you are aware that the Tokyo Game Show draws very near, and with it comes an array of news and gaming information. To sum up the show in short, it’s a public E3 located in Tokyo Japan. Of one of the many titles to be displayed the most notable for the Konami Fans is Metal Gear Solid 4. Not only are we all anticipating the trailer but it has been announced that whatever we see will be running on the PS3, no games, no lies, just raw PS3 power. The statement was announced today by Kojima Productions.

As for some background on the upcoming game we know that it will be a lot more wide open and nothing like MGS that we have played before. We can also expect that the trailer shown will not be the same at E3 but more on what the game will actually be like. As for the story, not much is known but the fact that it assumes the story after that of MGS2. So for those of you that saw the amusing trailer at E3 then you know that the character roles could be Snake or Raiden.. but the trailer implies sarcastically that it will be snake :X

While the wait has been long.. (were actually still waiting), the good people at Valve Software have assured us that the mod will be released at some time this month. So that could mean today or it could mean the end of the month, eitherway it’s a day many fans have been waiting for for some time. Those of you not familiar with Day of Defeat it was a Half-Life mod set in the WWII time and featured an array of classes you could choose from and involved a sort of capture system. It some aspects I guess you could call it a dulled down Battlefield 2, but in my case I rather DOD, because it’s less huge and more fast paced.

The game will be avaliable for Half-Life 2 owners who purchased the silver packaged or for those of you that own the boxed version of Counter-Strike: Source. For those of you like me that don’t own either you might have to end up buying the game again, though I really hope that they release it to everyone, as I bought it in the store and really didn’t know that I couldn’t get the cool mods cause I have the box version.

Love them or hate them, IGN is a huge name in the industry and are constantly bringing us great information and media from around the world on all the games. So to no ones surprise with it’s growing popularity and gaming becoming a part of everyday life a big name in another industry Fox, has decided it wants a piece of the gaming pie. Fox will be purchasing IGN for something like $650 million dollars cash money. I for one am not that worried, I don’t expect that much around IGN will change and I for one hope not, though it will be under a new owner I hope the management remains the same among IGN and it’s child sites.

With the site layout done and the fact that I finally had some free time I could do some work on the site. Today I finished integrating the Devil May Cry 3 Walkthrough. Even though I have already written a boss guide I decided to leave the author of the guides Boss battle examples as well in-case anyone had problems with my guide. Expect some more Devil May Cry 3 content later today or in the week as I still have information to add.

A report on the Venice screening of Advent Children has been released by an Italian based Final Fantasy site, it exposes everything you want to know about the movie and all the plot twist and whatever. If you want to read it please do so at your own risk, I have not read it and cannot for warn serious spoilers.

Just a small update as I sit here playing with Adobe Photoshop CS2 I decided I would actually make us a header instead of just taking a stock image like lately. I admit I was getting lazy so yeah I really tried to make this fit the layout and still please the dark fans. Also used the new image from the FF7 book, so enjoy.

Please note as it is a holiday weekend I will be out until Sunday, when I return I think I might open up a new section, and if I don’t do it tonight I will fix the coverage navigation’s.
