RSS Feed for Unlimited Gamer Wal-Mart 360 Bundles

Say what you want about Wal-Mart but the fact is these bundles are a lot more forgiving then those of EB games and what not. The bundles host respectable prices and fewer games so that they don’t exceed $1000 bucks like those at EB Games. So yeah if your interested in buying some reasonable bundles then you might want to go to Wal-Mart.

DVD Scans of the AC cover have emerged credit to FF7ACReunion and Adventchildren.net for posting them. I have to say sorry for the thumb job but I don’t have time to aspect ratio the things so I just do a universal size for the scans. Also posted was the Pamphlet promoting AC and its features.

After the recent news that Dirge of Cerberus would be coming out this year a delay in beta testing is rather unsettling. Square-Enix at the last minute delayed the beginning of Online Beta Testing for Dirge of Cerberus with no new date specified. Square-Enix assures us it is only some last minute tweaking, but the way they been tweaking AC (Advent Children) you figure that it could take any amount of given time. I for one predict delays on the game in general.

Finally some good news from Sony, since they have been rather quite with all the Xbox 360 information pouring in. Regardless of that fact we can all rejoice that the Playstation 3 will most likely be just 1 console so you the consumers don’t have to worry about what your missing out on and developers will be better able to fill there games with goodies on a console that can handle it. The news of this is not official but after Phil Harrison, VP of studios for Sony Computer Entertainment, criticize Microsoft for using two separate consoles this coming season it became clear that Sony was entirely against the idea.

RSS Feed for Unlimited Gamer Xbox 360 Live Pricing

With the release of the Xbox pricing and the bundle packs it was expected the news of the pricing would follow. An article that was posted on a French Xbox site was recently translated by planetxbox360.com. The site list various prices for different time frames, I will just give you the 1 month pricing, which includes only that(1 month of gold) for $7.99. On the flipside however the most expensive of the plans is the 12 month starter kit in which it includes 12 months of Xbox Gold, The Communicator Headset, an Xbox Live game, 20 Dollar discount on future game purchase, and finally 200 XBL market points(which I assume is part of the online community store and such).

RSS Feed for Unlimited Gamer Gabe Newell Speaks Out

In the latest Computer Gaming World issue there was a feature where Gabe Newell spoke out about various things with Aftermath and Lost Coast. At the moment though the main thing being pointed out were his comments against Microsoft which is of great interest to me and to other developers of games.

“Look, I spoke to some people at Microsoft, and as I said, I can’t point to a single feature in Vista that I care about that solves problems for us at all. And I had the same conversation with the Xbox 360 guys. It’s like, Xbox 360 doesn’t make my life any better, and in fact, it makes it a lot worse, as you’re telling me I can’t count on having a hard drive.”

Basically this is a severe hit to Microsoft especially when there original plan was to make the 360 easier to develop on, but like Gabe says the removal of the HDD is basically Microsoft punching itself before there off and running. Fact is the harder it is to develop and the less dependency on the HDD will mean game creators will have to rely more on the Disc technology and maybe have to downgrade there games so average consumers can play them.

On one other note, Gabe was a former employee of Microsoft so all this coming from him really says a lot about how he feels about Microsoft. Though, as a result to all of this we might not be able to expect to many Valve titles being ported to the 360 aside from the Half-Life 2 that was already announced on the Xbox 1.

The popular and addictive World of Warcraft has surpassed the 4 MILLION users subscribed, with 1 million in North America alone.

This is the proof, Blizzard IS reliable, this will just invite players to keep coming and play in the ancient world of war and mystery.

Imagine 4 million people paying Blizzard 15 bucks a month, for only a year, isn’t that just a large number? This means WoW’s server will get bigger and bigger, it’s a non-stop-money-making-company!
