PC Gaming is also often referred to as computer gaming or personal computer gaming. These games were designed to be played on a personal computer rather than on an arcade machine or video game console and you can play on PC games from any decent Mac or Windows operating desktop or laptop computer. PC Games have been around for several decades and although they have dramatically improved since the first ever PC game was introduced, it is still possible to play on the much older titles from your home computer. Today, players can now find thousands of different PC games. The action is played out on a computer monitor rather than on a television screen. The video feedback is received by the player through the computer's monitor and the sound comes through the speakers or through headphones. It was just after the video game crash occurred back in 1983 when home computer games really started becoming extremely popular, especially in European countries, but by the mid-1990s PC games were still not quite as popular as video console games. It would take several more years before modern PC gaming would really start challenging console gaming in terms of popularity.
